The Panvel pharmacy chain, which now has more than 500 stores in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and São Paulo, offers more than 15,000 items of drugs and hygiene & beauty products. Guided always by the group’s DNA and purpose, the Panvel name is today synonymous with innovation in its field, and a benchmark for online transactions, with a robust digital platform for pharmaceutical retailing, operating an omnichannel format since 2015.

In 2006, it was the first company to issue an electronic tax invoice in Brazil. In 2012, it was the first store in Rio Grande do Sul to issue an electronic Consumer Tax Invoice (NFC-e).

In 2015, it was the first company in the segment to have a fully omnichannel operation, with 100% of stocks included. This major milestone enabled the company to issue its own app in 2016.

Today, Panvel leads the segment in digital transactions, with a mature platform offering numerous functions, many of them new in this market, such as order tracking, search tools using photos, voice, bar codes and writing, scheduling of services by phone, telemedicine, and electronic prescriptions. These and other services give Panvel the largest share of digital sales in its segment while maintaining high standards of quality such as NPS (Net Promoter Score).

This innovative spirit has positioned Panvel in the market not just as a pharmacy but as a hub for healthcare, and it has become a reference also in the supply of services, being now one of the key suppliers of vaccination in the Southern Region of the country. It has also pioneered partnerships with laboratories to provide tests and specialist services. Its current portfolio includes services provided directly or through partners, such as DNA tests, lab tests, psychological counseling over the phone and telemedicine, all through the Panvel Clinic.

With a technological operation offering customers top-quality experience in services and products, Panvel has a very broad mix, including its own-label products, which now number more than 860 SKUs and are synonymous with quality. It also has a product mix compatible with its vision and purpose as a healthcare agent, and all the products offered aim to be part of a health-related ecosystem and to interact within it.

The story of Dimed began on September 21, 1967, when the two largest chains of drugstores in Rio Grande do Sul, Panitz and Velgos, were united in a Joint Venture, setting up a procurement and logistics center to supply the networks and other customers in the region. Now one of the leading drug distributors in Brazil and a pioneer in its segment, focusing mainly on supporting the operations of Panvel, it has two distribution centers, in the cities of Eldorado do Sul/RS and São José dos Pinhais/PR, strategically located to maximize efficiency. The DCs serve the current Panvel network and will be able to absorb the planned expansion, as well as supplying major regional customers.

The operational excellence of Dimed is based on its structure. With constant investment, Dimed ensures availability, frequency and accuracy in the services it provides to its customers. A member of the Grupo Panvel’s Industrial Segment, and founded in 1969, Laboratório Industrial Farmacêutico – Lifar develops and manufactures cosmetics, foodstuffs, and food supplements. Its customers include major brands in Brazil and abroad, and it makes about 30% of Panvel private label products.

In line with Grupo Panvel’s business principles, Lifar is always innovating and producing high-quality products. It is recognized in its segment for its expertise in dermocosmetics, sunscreens, facial care, aroma diffusers, and cosmetics for everyday use.

Lifar’s production is divided into two sections, foods and cosmetics, both of which comply with good manufacturing practices and the strictest market standards. The foodstuffs plant produces teas and food supplements under the brand name Sanitas. The cosmetics plant produces own-brand items, Vivaz and Lifar, as well as white label products for major pharmaceutical, food and fashion retail chains.
